Warranty, Guarantee and Service

100% no fine print Guarantees are better than Warranties (warrantees are pro-rated)

Find out exactly what the warranty or guarantee covers and for how long. Standard warranties on mechanical parts are one year and on surface material three to five years.

Ask if it is a free in-home warranty, otherwise you may pay for shipping charges or service calls.

Be aware of pro-rated warranties that cover different parts for different lengths of time and the ability of the manufacturer to use reconditioned parts for repairs.

It is always preferable to have the warranty backed by the manufacturer and the dealer, not just the dealer. It may be difficult to have your warranty honored if the dealer is out of business or a dealer who regularly changes lines of spas....Buy from a REPUTABLE dealer.

Ask for a copy of the warranty for each spa you are considering to take home and read at your leisure.

Some dealers have a service department and water-testing services. Most dealers sell water quality testing kits if you wish to do it yourself.....But ALWAYS be sure sure to have a running water testing history with a dealer (for manufacturer warranties to be honored).

Reputable dealers are members of the National Spa and Pool Institute (NSPI). Membership requires acceptance of a Code of Ethics and ongoing training for sales and service staff.

Contact the Better Business Bureau for a dealer's rating.
